Friday night through Sunday evening something unusual
happened... ... After a very supernatural week
that included visitations and demonstrations of
God's Power, there was a release of His Presence in an
awesome way through the special
"Convocation" that was called by the Father...
and announced around the nation soveriegnly by His
messengers.
On Friday night there was a sense of breaking into the
heavens as we worshipped for about three hours... on
Saturday night there was profound release... the Lord
made Himself evident to many through visitations and
through prophetic words that were released as we
worshipped for about five hours. It was during this
evening that the Lord unveiled a significant purpose
for these meetings. There have been previous occasions
where "outpourings" have begun in this region, but at
each juncture it has been stopped by a pharisaical
religious spirit that has rebelled against the move of
God. The Lord clearly showed that he was revealing a
people who were prepared to overcome and defeat this
spirit. Sunday, after six hours of worship, there was
further release as we were given a mandate to take on
the Spirit of Elijah and call for the rain to begin
(see 1 Kings 17 & James 5:17-18)... and that we should
continue until the rain falls and pounds the earth ...
the rain that has been waiting to come... but now will
be released!
"So rejoice and be glad in the LORD your God; For He
has given you the early rain for your
vindication. And He has poured down for you the rain,
The early and latter rain as before.
And the threshing floors will be full of grain,
And the vats will overflow with the new wine and oil.
"Then I will make up to you for the years That the
swarming locust has eaten, The creeping locust, the
stripping locust, and the gnawing locust, My great
army which I sent among you. "And you shall have
plenty to eat and be satisfied, And praise the name of
the LORD your God, Who has dealt wondrously with you;
Then My people will never be put to shame.
"Thus you will know that I am in your midst, And
that I am the LORD your God And there is no other; And
My people will never be put to shame." (Joel 2:23-27)
